Soapwalla
Soapwalla was founded in 2009 in Brooklyn, New York, by Rachel Winard. All products are vegan and – of course – cruelty-free. All plant-based ingredients come from sustainable cultivation, and everything is not bottled in some production facilities in Asia, but still where it all began: in their own small lab in Brooklyn, by an all-female team. Incidentally, Rachel initially sold her products on Etsy – can you believe it? And today, Soapwalla is available in over 30 countries in several hundred stores. Now that's a success story! The first product was what is still THE bestseller today: the deodorant cream, which you apply under your arms with your fingers. At the time, that was truly revolutionary – today, at least natural cosmetics users are well familiar with the procedure. But hey: it works! And the products are still all a hit today – the serum, the balm, just amazing. Just like Rachel, by the way. She is not only an openly homosexual entrepreneur who advocates for social justice. She also suffers from systemic lupus, an illness that has required her to undergo several operations. Why am I writing this here? Never quit, girls. Never quit.
