John Masters Organics
I confess that I'm extremely conflicted about the John Masters Organics brand. Why? Well, here's my dilemma: in the 1990s, hairstylist John Masters was one of the first to tackle the subject of natural or even organic hair care. A pioneer, so to speak, who was able to build an almost global empire with his developed products in the following decades. The ingredients were top-notch, the results were top-notch, so far so good. In 2016, John Masters sold the whole business – to an investment firm. Since then, almost every product has been touched and reformulated. In the interim, some products contained highly questionable ingredients. As of today (2020), I would say things have somewhat 'settled down'. Nevertheless, you might not find one or two products here in my shop – usually, there's a reason for that: they contain something that, in my opinion, has no place in natural cosmetics.
What you will find with me is, in any case, impeccably formulated – like the pure Argan Oil. Perfect for stressed, dry curls, itchy scalp, or even for face and body care. The oil is a real all-rounder – the high content of omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin E ensures healthy hair lengths and smooths rough ends. A classic for styling is the Hair Pomade. The rich hair wax provides flexible structure and a great shine (it is a pomade, after all). Olive oil, mango butter, and babassu oil provide plenty of moisture to the hair, and vitamins A, C, and E strengthen the hair shaft. Cedar and bay laurel oil have antiseptic properties and help with an itchy scalp.
