About this shop
Here you'll find natural cosmetics and more. Free of paraffins, parabens, other mineral oil derivatives, silicones, or PEGs, you name it. A small, refined selection of my absolute favorite brands for all skin types and conditions. Everything is lovingly packaged in my small shop in Cologne city center. There's no warehouse, no fulfillment agency, just 48sqm of retail space. I do my best to ensure everything gets to you quickly, safely, and on time. My Philosophy
I believe, with increasing age (ha ha), my philosophy has become a bit more complex. A bit more nuanced and less black/white or good/evil. I used to always say "pure is perfect" and I think that's still 90% true today. I'm still convinced that nature provides us with all the valuable substances we need for healthy skin. I still don't want petroleum derivatives and silicones on my skin or in my hair. Nanoparticles and hormone-altering substances are out of the question anyway. Now comes the little twist: so many highly effective substances can now be developed biotechnologically, and I don't want to do without them. But that doesn't mean the origin can't be natural! Nevertheless, the "original product" is chemically altered. Whether it's encapsulated lipids, hyaluronic acid in various molecular sizes, or peptide complexes – that's simply not the same as, let's say, mixing three different organic oils. You know what I mean?
So, what does that mean for you? All products in my range are free from parabens, phthalates, PEGs, silicones, petroleum derivatives, paraffins, nanoparticles, and synthetic fragrances or dyes. In contrast, most are organic-certified, often vegan, and of course, never tested on animals! And we don't even need to talk about microplastics, right...?!
But it also means that many products are now highly effective. They contain the latest biotechnological ingredients, such as exosomes to improve cell communication. I carry products with natural retinol alternatives (such as bakuchiol, moth bean, or paracress), but also products with synthetic retinol.
Because I believe that both are possible - nature and progress.
