Pau D'Arco has been used by indigenous peoples in Latin and South America for centuries to heal illnesses. The tree bark is used there for cold symptoms, fungal infections, fever, and rheumatism.
Application
Stir 1-2 teaspoons into tea, soup, or broth. The effect is enhanced if you simmer Pau D'Arco for 15-20 minutes. Don't forget to strain afterwards! For acute symptoms, use 2-3 times a day. Great drink: simmer the root with cinnamon sticks, turmeric, and ginger, then strain. Afterwards, optionally stir in (plant-based) milk. A top-notch anti-cold drink!
